010 Warlords of Draenor Woes

I'm happy to see I am not the only one upset. This guy (Video below) seems a little extreme, but a lot of his points are pretty spot on. He has a #2 video up, a "36 hours later" one. People are mad because he's a grown adult and raging like a 2 year old, but I see his point too. Plus, it's hilarious :D The second one is even funnier.

Just pretty upset with the way Blizzard handled all of this. People are coming out and admitting they were in Beta and they warned Blizzard about a lot of the issues that caused this nightmare launch. Others are just huge fan boys and cant see any wrong on Blizzard's part, and I'm sorry but there is definitely blame there. They're a multi-billion dollar company ... they have the money to have thought of this beforehand...but they just don't care.

I am not going to be a liar and say I am unsubscribing. While I am annoyed and hell, even upset by this, I do still enjoy playing World of Warcraft. I enjoy the story lines, the game style, etc. Though, this has taught me not to give them more than my $15 sub fee. I usually buy pets and mounts, and other things (like name changes, etc), but no more. I won't be giving them more than the monthly fee from now on, and I really don't know if I'll continue with further expansions.

This experience has put a bad taste in my mouth with the game, and usually when that happens I don't stick around much longer ...but I won't sit here and say I'm going to rage quit (at least not yet :D). I am hoping the content is super amazing and well worth this insanity ... and then I can get back to enjoying what I pay for :D

I'm sorry about WoW. That is a huge shame. They ignored all the concerns in beta and it still went live? That is not good business at all. D:

Yep. A lot of people addressed these issues in beta and they still rolled out the expansion. Plus their lack of communication between their departments is very clear with this failed launch. It took almost 4 days for me to actually get in and a play a game they 'promised' (its how they sold this expansion) as playable the 'first day' ...

I personally really adore the Warcraft franchise, it was one of the first games I played on PC (demo disc came with my first PC I got for my 13th birthday). Last night when I was finally able to get on and go through Draenor starting quests so much nostalgia.

Kargah, Kilrogg, Blackhand, Grom. Was so awesome, though I wish I was joining them instead of attacking them. Still, part of it felt kind of a let down knowing that once I logged out (had to wait until 5am to get in) I wouldn't be back for awhile.

And this is what pisses me off about Blizzard. To me Blizzard is like that nerdy friend you had in middle school, you played your nerdy games (Warcraft 1 and 2) but once High School rolled around they did something popular (WoW) and became one of the cool kids. Now it's "fuck you nerds, we're the prom king, we don't need you anymore, we do no wrong! We don't need to test this, or listen to that bug report! WE'RE POPULAR AND EVERYBODY LIKES OUR FARTS".

When Final Fantasy XIV relaunched and had server problems the lead developer was actually brought to tears over it on stage and apologized.

Like I said I still like warcraft, I just kind of hate Blizzard's new personality. Sorry kind of ranted there. >.>

I've been ranting for days, so trust me, I feel your pain. They're catering to a new clientele (which I touched on briefly in my new post). There are these casuals now that just want things handed to them and blizzard is feeding into it.

A lot of people are saying that blizzard is mostly different now because they joined with activision (or some company) and that's why they suck now and cant get their act together. They just really don't care about us anymore and that's why, even though I enjoyed leveling in WOD (although I disliked how quickly it was) ... I wont be giving them anymore money like I used to. I basically threw money at them the last two years with mounts, pets and character services I purchased from the shop. No more. They get my 15$ and if raiding sucks once I get there, they may not even get that lol.

lmao @ "We're popular and everybody likes our farts." It seriously sickened me how much 'dont blame blizz' posts were on the forums... Of course we need to blame blizzard! They totally dropped the ball on this expansion and are totally to blame.

I really saw red at the comments "Dont play on popular servers." Really? So I joined friends on a server that was medium two years ago and its my fault it's now grown to HIGH? Really? LOL BLIZZ needs to figure out their unbalanced server issues, NOT the players. It was a lot of poo!
