020 My Dessert
Dec. 1st, 2014 04:08 pmSo I forgot to post the dessert I made last week for Thanksgiving in the previous post. Here is a very crappy cell phone photo of it :D It was quite delicious and the hit of the lunch/dinner and I will probably make it again for Christmas (but probably cookies).
Other thing I forgot to mention is that the snow I wanted? We finally got a little bit Wednesday and it actually got us out of work early (five whole hours early for me :D). It wasn't a lot in the end, but it mixed in with some sleet around noon and the roads were pretty bad until the next morning. So YAY for some snow! Now just a little on Christmas and winter can go away :D

I really wish we still had more left now :D

Date: 2014-12-03 04:38 pm (UTC)I'm not even kidding. We get 3 feet of snow in a single day and peeps are like "LOLOLOLOL GET YOUR ASS TO WORK, YOU BITCH." This city doesn't shut down for snow. Two years ago we got 5 feet of snow in a single night. FIVE FEET. City didn't shut down. Kind of. It half shut down. Because you know, shit sucks. 4pm that afternoon? city was back up and running like everything was normal!
Though that morning of the 5 feet of snow was the only time EVER that I could call into my boss and say "fuck you, I'm not coming in." because my car is small and I literally could not get out of the parking lot with it until snow trucks came to clear it out. XD

Date: 2014-12-03 05:40 pm (UTC)The only time the whole state actually shuts down is if we get a lot of feet of snow too (usually only for blizzards). Usually people still have to work, even if we get a foot or two of snow ... have I mentioned working for a school rocks? :D Im usually the only home those days LOL
