As I predicted … I am just not feeling this World of Warcraft expansion after all the fail early on. It just really left a bad taste in my mouth and I haven’t played it in over a week. I just don’t have this burning desire to get on and play.
I’m actually thinking of giving SIMS 4 another chance. I guess they added a patch that added pools lol (or are going to add pools in an upcoming patch). Still don’t understand how they released a new game and reduced the options in the game of typical first expansions lol. I do enjoy the new way of building homes, which is one of my favorite things to do in SIMS (sad I know). I rarely get families past two generations because I like building homes too much. I can spend days on one.
In other news, one of my favorite organizations that I donate money to, sent me a really pretty hanging calendar for next year, which was actually a great reminder for me to make my yearly donation to them. I really love nature, so I try to donate to Plant a Billion Trees around Christmas (as well as the Red Cross). It's never a lot, but I figure every little counts. This year I'll be adding a donation to the American Cancer Society in honor of my dad.

And lastly ... I have this idea floating around in my head for a new book, and I'm itching to get started on it, but I haven't had the time to really sit down and write it. Maybe after classes are all done and things settle a little at work, I can start it. Oh and either Saturday or Sunday I have to go to the stupid museum and then write a report on my visit. *Headdesk* May take pictures, but not sure yet.
OH, and I think Ill be getting some paid time on here ... so look out for some really dumb polls and a pretty kickass (or not) moodtheme! :D

Date: 2014-12-04 03:19 am (UTC)but yeah I have zero motivation to continue leveling. While working with the Frostwolves is pretty cool, I just don't care to see the end of the story. Again I feel it may be because in High School I used to play warcraft 2 and gush over how cool Kargath must be, and I really don't want to kill him in Warlords.
Also the Garrison, it feels like such a chore for some reason. Housing in FF14 is just a side thing, lots of fun but no real impact on game play. Garrison on WOW i have to actively do all these things just to level my tailoring? ugh.. I don't like it. :l

Date: 2014-12-04 02:37 pm (UTC)I was actually horde for 3 years before recently going alliance (in August). Bad guild experience made me want to change. So I was really into horde for a long time ... but this expansion seems really heavy on alliance. The race perks on alliance toons are all way better than the horde ones.
I really enjoyed the garrison at first because it was so easy to farm things (ore in my case), but you're right ... it was becoming a chore and not as much fun. My secondary profession (engineering) is going to take ages to level because a lot of the stuff I can make to level it requires materials on a 1 day cool down ... so it's kind of ridiculous to me. Usually I could just blow through, hit 700 then farm the recipes I needed and make the stuff I wanted that had the 1 day cool down. So yeah, I dunno ...
And it's just all so 'meh' now that I've seen how badly they treat their customers. People say that all expansion launches are bad, but I got Pandaria and played the night of launch and had no major problems with playing. Yeah there was some lag and a short queue but that's expected ... the nightmare this year just really ruined this expansion's experience for me.

I don't know, a lot of their talent has left over the years and I think it's just really starting to show in WoD.
